Challenges
The project’s primary challenge was automating reporting to eliminate manual effort while ensuring users received ready-to-use reports from a single source of truth. To support future scalability, the system was built with an AI-ready architecture capable of real-time data processing, even though advanced analytics were not yet in use.
Another critical hurdle was managing inventory accuracy across approximately 100,000 unique stock items, requiring robust validation processes to minimize costs and prevent production delays. Finally, the implementation of a data mesh architecture empowered departments to independently own and analyze their data, balancing decentralized control with structured governance.
